Some have their places booked in heaven,
Yet others rot in hell,
But what of those between the two,
Who are neither here nor there.
Some dwell in the midst of glances of envy,
Yet others drive our just jeers,
But what of those between the two,
To whom no one gazes nor glare.
Some have claim to fame unparalleled,
Yet others notoriety defies all fame,
But what of those between the two,
Who exist for no one save themselves.
Some are full of wisdom divine,
Yet others whose foolery is their pride,
But what of those between the two,
Who just walk on the wrong side of both.
Some are acclaimed coz they are true,
Yet others belie even the grace divine,
But what of those between the two,
Who just walk on the crust of obviousness.
For some the sun never sets in horizon,
Yet others are plunged in the tunnels of darkness,
But what of those between the two,
Who live in the shade of cloudy skies.
We acknowledge the charge on corners,
Yet deny the bulk which makes up the centre,
The mass, the grass, the brass of life is not for the Davids and Goliaths,
Its for those who line the path, the field separating the two!
